2024-25 South Dakota Changes, Clarifications & Reminders
- Eight cheerleader passes, plus one for the mascot, are now allowed for postseason football events.
- Eliminate the basket toss language for Sideline Cheer. Coaches must be AACCA-Certified to perform basket tosses, will need to use proper matting and activity cannon cause a delay in the game/contest.
- Change the number of sideline cheerleaders in basketball to a maximum of eight, plus the mascot. The mascot will no longer be counted in the eight cheerleaders for the squad limits.
- Wrestling cheerleaders at the State Tournament will only be allowed on the floor during the championship match in which their team is involved.
